Howling arrows - a great fun factor in archery

In the past, howling arrows were used, for example, as signal transmitters, for example when it came to coordinating troop formations. A completely different use was to use them to intimidate the enemy. It was customary for the samurai to shoot howling arrows back and forth at the beginning of battle to bring good luck to their army. Howling arrows were often used to convey messages. The message was tied to the howling arrow and shot into fortresses, for example. The whine of the arrow signaled a new message, similar to the beep of your email program today.

Today, the howling arrows in archery only have one purpose: they should be fun!
